FAQ

Questions before you tint?

Here are the answers customers usually need before requesting a quote.

How long does automotive tint take?

Many standard vehicle jobs can be completed in several hours, but time varies with glass count, vehicle design, film removal and installation conditions. Your appointment window is confirmed with the quote.

Can you tint a vehicle at my house?

Architectural work is mobile. Automotive tint benefits from a clean, temperature-controlled, low-dust environment, so vehicle jobs are normally scheduled where installation conditions can be controlled.

What is ceramic tint?

Ceramic automotive film is a premium category designed to provide stronger solar/infrared heat rejection without relying on highly reflective metalized construction. Exact performance varies by film series.

How dark should I go?

That depends on the vehicle registration state, glass location, privacy preference and legal limits. Nella Tint Co. does not treat one percentage as appropriate for every vehicle.

Is window tint legal in Michigan and Wisconsin?

Window-film rules differ significantly by state and by window position. Michigan and Wisconsin do not use the same front-side-window rules. We will discuss legal placement with the quote, but the vehicle owner remains responsible for complying with the law applicable to the vehicle.

How long before I can roll the windows down?

Plan to leave newly tinted roll-down windows closed for the period specified at delivery—often a few days. Cold weather can extend curing time.

Are small hazy spots or moisture normal right after installation?

Some temporary moisture, haze or small water pockets can be visible during curing. The film should not be judged as fully cured immediately after installation.

What does the workmanship warranty cover?

Coverage applies to installation-related defects under normal use for the stated package term. It does not cover damage from scratches, misuse, glass failure, customer-applied chemicals, later window repairs or other external causes. Manufacturer film warranties are separate and depend on the product selected.

Can residential film make a room completely private at night?

Reflective/daytime privacy film cannot guarantee one-way privacy when the interior is brighter than the exterior. For dependable privacy regardless of lighting, frosted/decorative film or other treatments may be more appropriate.

Do you travel?

Yes. Core work is centered on Western Upper Michigan. Longer-distance residential/commercial projects and grouped automotive bookings are quoted based on travel and project size.
